Dr. Benjamin Arthur is a renowned expert in the fields of regenerative therapies, genetics, and stem cell research. Dr. David Brownstein, MD

Dr. David Brownstein is a Board-Certified, family physician. He is one of the foremost practitioners of holistic medicine and is the Medical Director of the Center for Holistic Medicine in West Bloomfield, Michigan.

Dr. Brownstein has lectured internationally to physicians and others about his success in using natural hormones and nutritional therapies in his practice. He is a graduate of the University of Michigan and Wayne State University School of Medicine. Dr. Brownstein is a member of the American Academy of Family Physicians and the International College of Integrative Medicine where he is a board member.

Dr. Brownstein is proud to be a Michigan Wolverine and a lifelong U of M football enthusiast. He is the father of two beautiful physicians (!) Hailey and Jessica, and has been happily married to his wife, Allison, for over 30 years.

Karla Dahlstrom

Karla Dahlstrom is a sought-after keynote speaker who offers valuable insights and practical advice on the topic of Professional Management Associations (PMAs) and business strategies. With over two decades of experience in the field, she delivers impactful presentations to audiences of all sizes.

Karla Dahlstrom joined ProAdvocate Group in October 2003, after working closely with the company’s founder, Karl L. Dahlstrom, for years. Prior to that, she entered the banking industry while attending Sam Houston State University. After graduating, she attended the ABA-accredited Southwestern Paralegal Institute in Houston and became the first graduate to land a paralegal position at a law firm in Corpus Christi. This led to employment under the direction of attorneys and judges.

Karla’s knowledge, research, and hands-on experience in working with PMA members have been both challenging and rewarding. She continues to assist in forming PMAs, finding solutions to the obstacles businesses encounter, staying up-to-date with the latest research, and developing strategies within the ever-changing rules and regulations that business owners and their industries face. As she often says, “It’s one thing to know the law, it’s another thing to know how to use it.”

In addition to her professional accomplishments, Karla has a great interest in nutrition and enjoys saltwater fishing. One of her proudest achievements has been acting as a behind-the-scenes coach and cheerleader, helping PMA members evolve, grow, and thrive to their full potential.

Dr. David Garwood, MD

Medical Practitioner / Clinical Research Scientist

Dr. David Garwood is a Medical Doctor and Clinical Research Scientist. He studied medicine at the Kharkov State Medical Institute – USSR between 1981 and 1987. He has been exposed to Herbology and Chiropractic in his training as an adjunct to patient management. He also holds a Master of Philosophy degree in Biochemistry and Biotechnology from the University of the West Indies. His areas of research include oxidative stress and antioxidant in cancers and diabetes; Human Papilloma Virus in cervical cancer; the effects of moderate exercises on metabolic parameters in diabetes.

Dr. Garwood has for the past 35 years studied Phyto Medicine and their clinical usage. He is Board Certified in Naturopathy and lectures both locally and internationally. For the past sixteen years he has been studying and practicing anti-aging and aesthetics medicine extensively. He is also a certified functional medicine practitioner. For more than five years now he has broadened his clinical skill set to include regenerative medicine.
As part of his career development, he attended a number of courses in Alternative Medicine, Functional Medicine and Regenerative Medicine in Atlanta, Orlando Florida, Utah, and Cuba.

Dr. Garwood is the founder and Medical Director of Perfect Health Medical & Holistic Centre, Le Clinique Anti-Aging and Aesthetic Clinic, and the Perfect Blend Line of Herbal Products. He has served the medical and scientific community for more than 35 years. Dr. Ryan Holt, MD

Doctor of Anesthesiology & Acupuncturist

Ryan A. Holt, MD, is a board-certified Anesthesiologist. He attended college at Gustavus Adolphus College and graduated Magna Cum Laude with a B.A. in Biochemistry and Chemistry. Dr. Holt completed medical school at the Medical College of Wisconsin and residency at West Virginia University while being voted by the faculty as the Most Outstanding Senior Resident. Most recently Ryan completed the Structural Acupuncture Course at Harvard University from 2015-2016.

Professional interests include Ultrasound-Guided Regional Anesthesia, organizing Interdisciplinary Pain Teams, acupuncture in the treatment of chronic pain/Post-Traumatic Stress Disorder, and interventional pain procedures. He also serves on the board of the Northwoods AirLifeline and previously served as Vice President of the charity flying organization.

Recreational interests include mountain biking, alpine skiing, and flying. He resides in Niagara, Wisconsin with his wife of twenty-one years and two children.

Dr. Jaimie Mickey, MD

Jaimie Mickey, MD is dual board certified in Family Medicine and Integrative Holistic Medicine. She has an additional 10 years of integrative medicine training and 5 years of natural bio-identical hormone experience outside of her family medicine training.

She is passionate about providing cutting edge, in-depth personalized care to each of her patients by combining the best of family medicine with natural integrative therapies!

Dr. Mickey is an integrative family physician who is a native of St. Petersburg, FL and currently practices medicine in Pinellas Park, FL. She attended the University of South Florida Honors College and graduated Summa Cum Laude with a Bachelor of Science degree in Biology and also attended the University of South Florida Morsani College of Medicine to earn her Medical Degree.

Reluctant to leave sunny Florida, she matched with her top-choice community family medicine residency program at Halifax Health in Daytona Beach, FL where she received 3 years of intensive training in adult medicine, pediatrics and gynecology-obstetrics. In 2010, she became a board-certified Diplomate of Family Medicine and started her career as an employed physician practicing traditional family medicine in Largo, FL for a large health care system.

After just 1 year of conventional practice, she attended her first integrative and holistic medical conference and her view of high quality health care was forever changed. After attending many more educational integrative and holistic medical conferences over the early years of her career, she enhanced her knowledge even further by becoming certified in Integrative Holistic Medicine (ABIHM) after sitting for their board exam in 2014 and is now a perpetual Diplomate of the ABIHM. She is also a member of the A4M American Academy of Anti-Aging and Regenerative Medicine and will soon be completing additional Fellowship training with them.

Her goal is optimal health for all of of her patients. She understands that conventional pharmaceuticals are often effective and well tolerated by many patients, offering life-enhancing symptom management of many chronic illnesses. Amy teaches anatomy and physiology, holistic psychology, advanced nutrition, and coaching techniques at HHE. She has her L1 Crossfit Certificate and enjoys being a Holistic Health Coach and mental health educator to amazing clients when she is not working on HHE projects. She loves experiencing new cultures and has traveled through 15 countries on five continents (the longest time spent in South Africa, Taiwan, and Palestine). AONH Board members, coming from a wide variety of backgrounds in business, allopathic and natural medicines, bring unique knowledge and expertise to the association. The Association of Natural Health was officially launched at the first ever health care conference (sponsored by Standard Enzyme Co. and Bremen Health Clinic) in November of 2011. Patient potential members, knowing what this organization would mean for them and their practices, erupted in enthusiastic applause.
